Although I havent Actually got the Ep I have Heard the Songs on Mandi's Myspace page over the Past couple of months And she is True to her Self As she is Her Music and delivers A Top Performance 110% every time she is to Rock Music as Shakespear is to Theatre. Absolutly Phenominal.

Mandi Perkins EP "Why Pretend" is one of the most amazing albums I've heard this year. The melodic, rock 'n roll style she brings is not to be missed. Mandi Perkins has a big future ahead of her and I can't wait until her debut album "Alice In No Man's Land" comes out! I recommend everyone to pick up her EP "Why Pretend" available on iTunes or Amazon.com and her debut album "Alice In No Man's Land" which is set to be released on 8.5.08. You will not be disappointed!!!

"Why Pretend" EP is a rock solid remake of two of Mandi's songs, "Why Pretend" and "Who I Am" from Bleeding The Line. Both incredible songs in their original versions, but very special new creations. You will want them in your playlist. She adds an acoustical version of "Behind Blue Eyes", which is reason enough to purchase this EP. Her emotional touch to this classic is beyond description. You must listen with head phones on and volume maxed out. Trust me!!

If I were to compare her to other artists, I would begin with the stylings of Janis Joplin, the lyrical qualities of Joni Mitchell and the stage presence of Pat Benatar. This is what you get from Mandi Perkins, in her music and especially in her live performance. Ever since hearing "Closer To You" on myspace in December 2006, I have followed her myspace career to Sony Records. She is a phenom that is about to explode on the music scene. Already loved by thousands and soon to be embraced by millions. Get on board, the ride is going to be a rock-n-roll experience like no other.
